Stormtroopers firing blaster rifles on Bespin: Cloud City
The Blaster rifle was a weapon which is reminiscint of today's assault rifle. It was a fast-firing weapon useful for destroying many enemies within your capabilities, although it had limited ammo. The Super Battle Droid had a similar weapon called the Wrist Blaster. A very useful weapon, it could be used to take out several enemies at once, since it shoots many shots before reloading.
The Star Wars: Battlefront II Award version is the Elite Rifle.
