Grievous was a cyborg general during the Clone Wars, serving for the Confederacy of Independant Systems. He was trained under Count Dooku, and fought with 4 lightsabers, most of which had been collected by himself from the dead Jedi he had killed. He was finally killed by Obi-Wan Kenobi on Utapau near the end of the Clone Wars. Before he was injured in a shuttle crash, that made him a cyborg, he was a great Kaleeshan warrior.
In this game General Grievous is one of the game's bosses that must be defeated with Obi-Wan. In melee, he uses a 360 degree spinning attack and a charging attack that tackles you to the ground. He can also attack you at range with his blaster, firing either one powerful blast or a burst of 3 weaker shots.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels[]
In this game, Grievous can charge forward while spinning two lighsabers above his head, or launch an uppercut attack upon his enemies.
He lacks any special abilities besides the Rage damage buff (although the latter affects all allies in 5m area and can be used once every 5 seconds.), thus having to rely on melee combat. Luckily, he has 4 lightsabers, which not only results in extremely powerful melee, but also lets him damage enemies in 360 degree radius. On some maps, this can be exploited by standing to the side of a doorway or similarly narrow passage and attack once enemies are about to emerge, preventing them from ever hitting you.
His playing style can be compared to Yoda, as both are significantly slower then other heroes, can use lighsaber block for extended periods of time, lack lighsaber throw and have difficult to control running attack. The latter is especially powerful for him, doing great damage while travelling large distances and leaving the survivors knocked off their feet. However, at least some enemies will be able to step out of the way and continue shooting at you while you're still moving, unable to break off in the middle of the charge.
General Grievous appears briefly in Star Wars: Republic Commando, where the player sees General Grievous nearby his ship for a short time, until he notices you and a bodyguard leaps toward you as you see him get into his ship and fly off.
