Star Wars Games

This article is for a list of inconsistencies in the game LEGO Star Wars: The Original Trilogy.

Episode IV: A New Hope[]

  • The "Beach Trooper" was created purely for the game. At no point during any of the Star Wars films can stormtroopers be seen running around in a helmet and a blue speedo.
  • The "womp rats" that appear in the Tatooine-based levels of the game are actually scurriers.
  • Ben Kenobi gives Luke the lightsaber before Leia's message is activated but in the game Ben gives Luke the lightsaber just because of Leia's message.
  • Ben Kenobi only cuts off one of Ponda Baba's arms in the film—in a cutscene from the game it's both—however, later on in the cutscene Ponda loses his legs and body, as well showing that he is killed in the game.
  • Instead of attacking Luke, Dr. Evazan simply watches and flees the cantina after Ponda Baba is killed.
  • In the film, Garindan (the "Imperial Spy") is purely an Imperial informant, having no contact whatsoever with any of the main characters.
  • Han and Chewbacca are present in the Death Star chasm scene (Luke and Leia were only present in that particular scene).
  • The Dianoga does not attack Luke, though is heard if you stay in the Garbage Chute.
  • The Jawas don't steal the droids from the Lars in the movie.
  • All the Sand Troopers have orange shoulders.
  • In the game Garindan (Imperial Spy) tries to sneak into the Rebel ceremony but is led away, though this part may be new canon.

Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back[]

  • In the movie, the Wampa's right arm is cut off. In the game, it's his left arm.
  • In the film only Luke battles the image of Vader on Dagobah, not with Yoda.
  • The cave is one room in the movie while it's several in the game.
  • During the Battle of Hoth, the Millennium Falcon is shown disabling an Imperial flotilla of Star Destroyers to allow Rebel Transports to escape. At no point in the films or EU is this shown.
  • Luke and R2 are shown arriving on Bespin before Han, Leia, Chewie, and Threepio do.
  • The Minikit of Slave I that is unlockable is incorrectly entitled Slave 1.
  • When Darth Vader tells Luke that he is his father, he has a picture of his younger self and Padmé, but in the movie he has no picture. This was done for comedic effect.
  • Imperial Probe Droids are present during the Battle of Hoth (Although this appears in all Star Wars Games).
  • At the end cinematic of The Empire Strikes Back, while Luke is hanging on to the antenna, he has both of his hands.

Episode VI: Return of the Jedi[]

  • In the game, the entire main cast (Except Leia) confronts the rancor, rather than just Luke.
  • Palpatine battles Luke and Vader in the game, while the film version of the scene shows him simply watching. This is done to maintain the 2-player gameplay in the game.
  • Palpatine also uses his Lightsaber.
  • Luke and Leia destroy an Imperial platform on Endor.
  • Leia is present when the heroes are trapped in the Ewok trap.
  • There are rebel troopers on Endor in the movie
  • Luke arrives at Jabba's Palace first in the game, while in the movie it's only Leia and Chewbacca (besides the two droids).
  • Not only Leia, Luke, C-3PO, and R2-D2 free Han (it was only Leia in the Movie).
  • Leia never enters Jabba's Throne room.
