After the Phrik alloy was stolen, Jan Ors traced its sources to Gromas. She thought that the Imperial mines on Gromas were related.
Kyle Katarn followed the mines and ended up at the reactor, he then placed an explosive in the exhaust port, this unleashed a Dark Trooper Phase I wave, due to a security call.
Katarn manged to escape and met with Ors and the Moldy Crow. The Gromas Mines exploded which as Ors hoped, would bring a setback to Rom Mohc's plans.
The Empire then abandoned Gromas due to the attack.
