The T2-B Repulsor Tank is a Rebel vehicle appearing in the Star Wars: Empire at War and its expansion Forces of Corruption. They can be purchased in groups of 5 at the Light Factory for 950 credits from Tier 1 onwards, thus costing 190 apiece.
These tanks possess pretty light armour but strong shielding with good regeneration: a single Stormtrooper platoon will not do enough damage to it to overcome the regeneration. While their Repulsorlift engines give them good speed and maneouvrability, they also prevent them from running over infantry like the treaded vehicles. They also lack any special abilities besides "Hunt for Enemies" button, which will automatically send them towards the closest enemy unit on the map.
With their 4 laser cannons, they will triumph over AT-STs, Scout Troopers, Anti-Infantry Turrets, Pod Walkers, Pirate Skiffs and Swamp Speeders. The full squadron can also destroy a single Anti-Vehicle Turret without sustaining a loss.Later on, they will also defeat TIE Maulers and unprotected AT-AAs and SPMA-Ts: at this point, however, the Empire will receive first the 2-M Repulsor Tanks and then the AT-ATs, which have superior armour, shielding and anti-vehicle damage and will easily defeat them in a proper engagement. If they cannot avoid them, they can also be used for hit-and-run attacks due to their moderate speed, but this is the Speeders' speciality. At Tier 3, they will also provide valuable support to their heavier T4-B cousins and MPTL-2a Artillery in mainline engagements.
